We stopped working in April of 1995 and since then I have been doing what people do when they approach the end of their thirties: Soul Searching.

In December 1994, shortly before the close of our company, I married a wonderful Mexican girl, here name is Yadira. Since then she has been and of course still is the joy of my life. Together with our dog Lana we live in Goleta now. 18 months ago we bought a nice 3 bedroom home that we have since then remodeled completely.

So far I have mentioned 3 people that have had an important influence on my life: my father, my friend Werner and my wife Yadira. Last but certainly not least above everybody and everything there is God. Without His guidance, divine intervention ( on many occasions ) and above all His constant forgiveness of my stupid mistakes, I could not begin to imagine where I would be today.When I was young I was made to go to church and confession on a weekly basis and my relationship to Jesus was a confused one. Although confession and church always seemed to make me feel somewhat relieved and in a strange way uplifted, the fact of having to go without any free will on my part, made me rebel against the one thing that later saved my life. During many years to come I can not say that I regarded Jesus as an important part of my life. I had nothing against religion but certainly did nothing to strengthen my faith. Maybe it was the fact that I scraped the bottom of the barrel for a while, feeling alone and worthless or maybe it was something completely different. Nevertheless Jesus made himself known again inside my heart during my teens in Germany. It was only a faint presence, thanks to my ongoing ignorance, but still enough to guide me in the right direction ( after a few detours ).
