You have absolutely nothing to lose. If everything I have been trying to say is wrong, if all churches and all Christians since the beginning of time have been wrong, then at least you will lead a good life as a good person; and if there is no light at the end of the tunnel when your time comes, you can say to yourself: " I tried to be the best I could be!" But if we are right and Jesus will one day descend from Heaven as He has promised, you will not be one of the people running for shelter to avoid the inevitable. Either way you can not lose. Give yourself the chance for happiness and try what makes the most sense.
