More than a year after Ali Henry's senseless murder,
 his parents are praying a new $100,000 reward will 
help bring the killer to justice.

In an emotional public appeal, Sybilla 
Henry yesterday wept as she recalled the
honor student's stabbing death following 
a pick-up basketball game at an Etobicoke,
(Ontario, Canada) school on Jan. 30, 1996.

"I want (the murderer) to come forward and
 I am hoping and praying that this reward
helps," she told reporters at Metro Police 
headquarters after the Police Board offered 
the reward. "Ali didn't deserve this. He 
was a good boy. His life has been shattered. 
His plans, his dreams - these people have 
taken them away from him."

Marcus Henry fought back tears remembering the 
phone call informing him that his son had been 
knifed in a 7:30 p.m. ambush outside Kingsview 
Junior School.

ALI HENRY The 21 year old was slain in the wake of a dispute over a basketball game. Det. James Ramer said Ali wasn't involved in the on-court fracas, but he was jumped because he left the game alone. "There were quite a lot of people who witnessed this (but) there just hasn't been information forthcoming," Ramer said. "We need that assistance. Our investigation is confined to this area, however, there are indications that some of the people have tried to leave of have left Canada."
