Even our own government passes many laws that do not seem to make sense ( surprise !! ) or at least in some part hurt the innocent. For instance, the 3 strikes law. With hardened criminals this law is a very effective and, from my point of view a justified weapon. Then again there are people that find themselves in jail for the rest of their lives for having committed relatively small crimes, a definite flaw of this specific law. But it does not change the fact that it has been created to protect our society from repeat offenders and dangerous criminals. Many criminals get a just sentence and a few others receive excessive punishment.

It is similar with God's law in regards to abortion. It protects millions of innocent children that have the right to be born and on the other hand does not serve very well for women that, for example, have been raped. We might not understand every detail of every law God has given to us, but believe me, as I have already mentioned in a previous chapter, He knows exactly what we need to live and prosper on this earth, and every law has been established to protect us either from ourselves or from others. It is all for our benefit and not to be seen as a burden.

Another very current issue is homosexuality. The trend in today's society is to accept homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle and not to object to its open display.
